When you step off the boat in Yvoire, you don’t have to walk far to find a place to have a decent meal. However, if you want to avoid the packed eateries where aggressive waiters run around like crazy serving stressed patrons, go a bit...farther and take a little side street that takes you to Glacier Les Galets. Now mind you, here you won’t find the usual, overpriced (lukewarm) spungy perch filets from far-away lakes with greasy, (freshly) thawed French fries. After our expensive meal on the port we came here for dessert. Very happy we decided to come here. In the back a Cosy terrace. Great choice of Crepes, different coffees, teas and ice cream. We shared a delicious crepe, great coffees & ice-cream. Definitely worth a stop for something sweet. Although we saw a plate of crepes & smoked salmon went by looking great and only €16. I think we will try lunch here on our next visit.
On a beautiful warm day, what better than a restaurant with a sunny terrace and the treat of crepes, waffles and Ice Cream! Super savoury crepes were followed by equally delicious crepes/waffles with ice creams.The only problems which really spoiled it all was that our meals came to the table in three different servings! The first ones being finished by the time the last one arrived and that is just not good enough.
We tried a few restaurants in Yvoire when we stayed for 3 nights. We stayed in Villa Cecile where the restaurant is outstanding . The other restaurants we tried at lunchtime were poor apart from Les Galets. Les Galets not... 'special ' just a good restaurant. The dressing on the salad was rather sharp service was good and the rest of the meal good.

We went here after a great boat ride from Nyon. The main shop was busy, so we decided to go out the back where there are plenty of tables. I would recommend you make your own choice of ice cream as it works out cheaper....In fact you can have one ice cream with 9 balls in it if you really want to share.
3 of us had lunch here on a day trip from Switzerland. Food was tasty and well priced compared to Swiss prices. House wine (we had french rose) was good value for money being pleasant to drink and relatively inexpensive ( about Euro10 a litre). After desert we were surprised at how replete we felt.
We had a great lunch here today. Food, atmosphere, and service were top notch. We also had a wonderful cup of cider. It was as good as the picture looks. The most expensive item on the menu was 18 Euros, lunch for 3 was 53.
I was here in august during a warm day. the service was friendly and fast enough. the place was clean and comfortable. eating, even if I had only one crumb with the ice, was very nice and well presented.

I have been a regular in chamonix for the last 40 yearsManagement has changed 3 years agoQuality of food is poor and service is absolutely dismal.
Good fondue, though not too flavorful. A bit pricey but good for the area. Enjoyed the french onion soup and the ice cream.
