We found this place very special. The food was beautifully presented and was absolutely excellent. We were surprised by the great selection of local cheese and meat in our starter to share only Euro 13,50 for two people. That's generous! Our main course was the meat they smoke for three (! hours and the result is juicy, tasty and, honestly, unique. At 17.00 euros it was also really affordable. The service was amazing. We were looking for a nice, local restaurant to enjoy some savoyard cuisine before heading back home and we hit the jackpot with Les Granges du Lac. Ambiance was superb, as well as service and value. The food was tasty and the drinks reasonably priced....We had a mix of fondue and steak between me and my wife and shared everything. Although we didn't try anything from the smoker outside, the smell was fantastic and, if I'm ever in the area again, I'll certainly give it a try. Our GPS was useless to get us here, but it's actually very easy if you look at the photos. It's by the lake. Just drive from Aix on the eastern border and you'll find it.

Restaurant found quite by accident while looking for place to eat dinner, along the lake. I decided to stay there only because full of people who looked enjoying their time. Neighbours at tables around had pots with foundes, so we ordered the same. Good choice! Founde savoyarde avec cep (with mushrooms) served for two persons (but enough for three people), bread and lettuce aside. A pity we were only passing the place, I wished to stayed for a several days to come back to Les Granges du Lac to try other regional tastes presented in the menu that seemed good as well.

Too bad we just passed the place, I wanted to stay for a few days to come back to Les Granges du Lac to taste other regional tastes that were presented in the menu that also seemed good.
First surprise is a noise level inside with a street just in front of the restaurant you hear nothing of it inside very well isolated. The staff is nice and friendly, inside arrangements friendly wood, stones, fireplace, a fairly large place for children... to play and super lake and Montaigne view. In addition, the food is really delicious salads, raclette and definitely the best cheese fondue around Aix les Bains is not an emerald and good quality of cheese selection! I'll be back soon.
During our vacation around Chambery Annecy we eat the best steak and fonduta in this restaurant. The steak was very well cooked and meat was delicious. Fonduta was amazing Cook and owners were very friendly; the waiter very unkind and rude.
