Year after year we are simply amazed by the restaurant Les Hauts de Santa Giulia . The staff is truly welcoming and the food is simply amazing. The products are chosen with extra care and the vegetables grown in the garden. This is a true family restaurant, where an amazing cook and her mother are in the kitchen, while their daughter and her father are welcoming the guests. This year there is a new formula which makes it even more wonderful. There is a set menu for the starters which gives you a taste of all the restaurant can offer (we had 5 different starters even though we were 3 at the table). Tonight for example we had: an amazing buratta with garden vegetables, pata negra plate, prawn...
Set in a lush landscape , magnificent flora , with beautiful sunset view of the beach is Santa giulia , but let's get to the food . I must say as an American , I was a bit surprised at finding lardon in a charcuterie platter , but the rest of the meat was more to my liking . The vegetable platter was made with organic items grown in the garden , outstanding Regarding the main courses , I had the black cod with Asian flare , it was cooked to perfection and the taste was sublime . My spouse had burrata with truffles , which was the perfect balance of texture and moisture . The service was very attentive and personal . There was no blasting acoustic , which added to the enjoyment of our meal ....
We had a terrific dinner at the restaurant of les hauts de santa giulia. Probably our best flavours of our two week trip in France. The cuisine is a mix of french and asian and really world cuisine. The cod with asian flavours and everything we ordered was just outstanding. Great value for the price in an area where we found that price was in general too high for the quality provided. We highly recommend this restaurant! Plus the owners were really friendly even when very busy. we had an earlier unsuccessful attempt to eat there without reservation, which was a mistake, and the landlady went out of her way to find us another place to eat, even by phoning her competitors. You cannot go wrong...
Went with my wife, for dinner. Immediately, we were struck by the restaurant feel-good atmosphere; we were greeted by smiling and professional staff.. We sat in the lovely garden. Worth mentioning that when we called to book, we were informed that the restaurant had a new formulas consisting of a pre-set menu of 5 starters a choice of main one course (out of 3 proposed) and a desert. The food was perfect; a fusion of asian french cuisine prepared with very fresh local products; the main course that i've picked was a stunning coed fish, prepared the Thai way, with coconut sauce; wine was great too. We chatted with the owner, a very cool guy who gave us plenty of hints and advises on Corsica....

The place is beautiful. Service- no smile, he took twice the plates before asking if I finished, and i didn't. Cheese cake was tastless, with bed texture(unbake corn flour) They were not happy i sent it back, and found nothing is wrong with the cheesecake. I gave to the others to try it before I send it and all found it not eatable! Black cod was deep fried- doesn't written on the menu.... way to fry fish like that ?? Rest of the food was ok... Too expensive to what they delivered. Good parts- fish tartar was the only excellent plate. Le citron and mango pavlova was nice too
An innovative cuisine in line with he Asian fusion era which is kind of strange in the midst of southern Corsica but precisely the fusion of different cultures is a great idea...There was a delicious black cod recipe worth noticing... a very nice setting with a great view on Santa Giulia bay and an attentive and proactive staff. Definitely worth climbing there!
Having a dinner in this restaurant in really a must when you are closed to Porto vecchio. Nice environment, everything is prepared with care. All dishes are succulent with sometimes asian inspiration. Owners are really welcoming and make you feel good. Thks for this good time.
We booked a table and when we arrived and got the menu the prices were updated and higher than the Michelin guide mentioned. Atmosphere was great, the food ok but not outstanding and a menu was to much food to handle.
