Went here after searching online for somewhere local to our motel where we had stopped on long journey. My husband was wary as a truckers restaurant but I suggested he be less snobby and I stupidly trusted The reviews on here. The staff were initially very unhelpful, it's obviously fine that they don't speak English we always manage to get by but they were clearly indifferent and impatient to the fact we needed things repeating or said more slowly. The restaurant looked clean but on closer inspection of the buffet I noticed you got free flies with most of your selections. None of the other staff or diners seemed to think this mattered. We went on a recommendation of friends and travelled the A83 to junction 11 Niort est. Followed the signs to the routier and found a large parking area full of lorries and cars. Seems a bit intimidating outside but on entering it had a large dining area which was welcoming and not overtly canteen or transport cafe like. Our family was two children 14 and 12) the mother in law, and us parents! On being seated the waitress brought us our requested carafes of wine both white and red along with water and soft drinks for the children. a free buffet in a center for road professionals in general is usually a place where the food is abundant. Quality is good, as long as we look at the freshness of the ingredients. in the drip plan, miss the authentic drop of the patés that I know as the riette or the pate of campagne, the puerros to the vinegar, mushrooms paris to the vinegar. But the hot dish was good and very correct. For 13,75€ the menu to eat once without having to deviate a lot from the route, okay. but, I prefer to go to any Fast-Food!
Left a group in the nearest ph1. Kind service, resto does feel like an asset. Cold and dessert buffet for 11 euros, 13 euros with main dish. For that price, you can't expect a haute cuisine, but it was okay, but it wasn't. Buffet formula always fun with kids, of course.
very large choice of entry and dessert. several dishes to choose from. Quick service. very nice waitress. short don't hesitate to get out of the highway.
