Found ourselves in Gavray this evening. Market had closed, and the village seemed to be shut down. 6 of us, including 2 children needed dinner and we were so delighted to have had no choices but this. They made us feel at home, willing to pull extra tables out of the back since we had a large group and only 4 seats were outside.Pizzas, Calzones, Salades, and Hot Dogs (5 ways). Very basic menu. But the food was outstanding for a small pizza place. Probably 20 choices for pizza, and they were great. Pizzas were creative with camembert creme and andouille sausage on mine, and some other more basic flavors like margherita.Grab a bottle of the poire and pomme ciders. We found ourselves in Gavray on a Sunday evening the resturant we had been recommended was closed and we were struggling to find somewhere open to eat. We came across this lovely little takeaway. As we perused the menu on the door the owner heard us discuss which pizza we were going to order,he had been so busy he had ran out of pizza dough but offered to make us burgers and frites ...we thankfully accepted and although I'm not a burger lover it was fresh tasty and at 7€ each for massive portion great value. The staff were lovely and spoke enough English to help our French.... give this place a try
We found ourselves on a Sunday evening in Gavray, the restorer we had recommended was closed and we fought to eat somewhere open. We came over this beautiful little timeout. When we penetrated the menu at the door, the owner...we heard what pizza we ordered, he was so busy that he ran out of pizza dough, but offered to make us burgers and frits... we appreciated and although I wasn't a burger lover it was freshly delicious and at 7€ each great value for massive portion. the welcome is very user-friendly, the boss prepares his pizzas in front of his customers, with fresh products, special mention to salmon and ham, smoked in the smoking located in the courtyard of the restaurant!! The dough is crispy, not too thick, the generous and tasty filling, and you will find even in this pizzeria "to take away" an excellent cider and a superb pear, made by the beautiful brother of the boss!Excellent address on gavray!
You can order pizzas as well as burgers with frits by phone. Both are produced locally with top ingredients and perfect cooking. Jérôme and Nadège are very welcome and we enjoy their products on a periodic basis, always satisfied with the food and service quality. No way to be disappointed by this pizzeria.
