Following my fist visit with a group, I booked for lunch with my husband. Again, it was superb. Greeted with Kir and an amuse buche - a sliver of milhassous topped with smoked duck, it was followed by chicken pate and a warm chicken mousse with a sliver of smoked trout. The main course was chicken in a forestiere sauce, sauted potatoes and vegetables. Locally produced cheese followed. The dessert was spectaculat - a little strawberry tart, a choux bun filled with cream and fresh raspberry, and a homemade strawberry ice cream lolly. Second visit here in 6 months to visit our distant cousins, Marie Fabrice, who own this place. Always the best meal of the whole trip! Forget the restaurants of any nearby town. This is where you want to eat (and buy your wildflower honey)...if traveling through the French countryside looking for the flavor of authentic, home-style French cuisine like my grandma used to cook. Well-worth the reasonable price! Everything is perfectly seasoned cooked- especially the sauces potatoes. Marie Fabrice are delightful hosts, happy to work around food allergies, always seem happy to be doing what they’re doing. Merci, et à la prochaine!

The decor and ambiance was lovely, The meal we had was superb from the apero, then a timbale of trout with a sorrel sauce. The main was chicken with a crayfish sauce with a potato galette, green beans and carrots. Cheese was followed by a strawberry tart with mint infused ice cream. At last I have found an excellent restaurant just a few kilometres from my home. I will be back for sure.

Just had to take our friends from the Uk to our favourite local restaurant whilst they were visiting. The food and ambiance did not disappoint always an excellent welcome, quality, cooking and presentation. Our friends said that it was the best meal that they...had ever had in France. I just can't get enough of this beautiful little auberge and his fabulous eating! I visited juni with my keep fit group for lunch and only yesterday had to book for my man birthday. everything was perfect, eating delicious, welcoming hostess. just don't say too many people as I want to keep it secret!
only our friends from the uk had to bring to our favorite local restaurant while they visited. eating and ambiente has not always disappointed an excellent greeting, quality, cooking and presentation. our friends said it was the best meal they ever had in France. excellent value for money.

I have visited many restaurants in this opposite and this is by far the best always a very warm welcome from the beautiful couple that it owns and that eating is excellent if I worked for michelin, I would forgive many stars!
