Dififcult day skiing with my fiance. Tough conditions including white outs and extremely cold temps. Ended up at Le Trappeurs, on Christmas Day. Sat ouside, ordered spaghetti bolognaise. Food was plentiful, delicious, hot and delivered to our table in minutes. The sun had come out...briefly, but then..... We heard a noise, a strange noise, and the snow started to fall again just as a large Sleigh came around the corrner and into view, only 3 metres from where we sat, pulled by Reindeer and steered by a large Father Christmas. Visited whilst having a break off the slopes. Great location, straight off the slopes, skis off and sit. Very busy lunch time but found a table for the 4 of us. Good menu selection even though difficult to understand (our fault for not being able to read French). Prices were average for Avoriaz but of a high standard. Promptly served and drinks arrived soon after. Food came no more than 10 mins later which was unbelievable considering how busy. Great music being played above the restaurant. Great views and great to just clip your skis back on and back on the slopes within a minute. Will return for sure if in the area.
If the weather is good sit outside and eat from the Crepe bar which is good value. If weather not so good, indoors can get busy. Either way the food is good and service pretty quick. Prices on the high side for simple lunch but...nothing more than expected really. Highly recommend the onion soup !
Without a doubt the most revolting onion soup ever created. I am a lousy cook, some might say terrible. However I have, as yet, failed to concoct a soup as disgusting as this one. We had sadly ordered four bowls and it was 14 euros per bowl, bit of a stretch even if it had been edible.

We stopped off here as a group of 6 for lunch. It was very busy and tables are very close together which makes it difficult to move around. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced. I can see it being busy if the sun is shining as it's in a great location.
eating was the worst thing I ever tried. my father was very sick after that and he was vomiting several times. the service was also bad. there was no structure. I would never recommend it to anyone.
This place is very expensive and staff2is not helpfull!! EUR 6,50 for a hot chocolate with wipped cream is a total ripp-off. Ik would not recommend it to anybody.
Nice lunch, 10 of us I shared cote de beef which was epic served with salad, veg, chips and potatoes! Others had variety of other dishes. Service good

The location is good but we stopped for a "quick beer". The place wasn't busy but by the time we got served we really wanted to get skiing again.
Bottom of the lifts and top of the bubble so easy to get to. Loads of tables. Great atmosphere and food was great.
