This Salon de Thé is a well established café in an ideal situation in the village centre: it is on the corner formed by the road from Montsoreau and the village high street as well as overlooking the entrance to the Abbey. Its buildings are...arranged so that there is a forecourt for the outside tables so avoiding the rather narrow pavements in this part of the village. There are also tables inside in a pleasant old fashioned room. Being a small café the menu is a little limited but there is something there for everybody. Items include sandwiches, pizzas and croques and the usual French snack lunch menu but the speciality of the house are the fuées, which are bread envelops to which you add...
Nous sommes tombés en sortant de l'abbaye sur une boulangerie qui fait restaurant juste en face la sortie, ou en regardant les menus le boulanger nous a parlé des fouées qu'il faisaient cuire etc et finalement nous avons déjeuner avec une curieuse découverte la fouées plat local, dépaysant et très bon.
Speciality angevine the Fools. Seat plate 15,90 €. gourmet plate 20,90 €. Cream mushrooms are a real treat. The foods are simple but combined together with the Angevin bread are from a slaughter to the palet!!! Nice waitresses. Warm welcome.

a great concept: small bread balls, cooked in a wood oven by a master baker specialties of the west of the france and to cook with various, generous and delicious fillings.
We stopped off here on our way to Montsoreau for lunch. We tried a local dish of fouees (pockets) which we could fill with rillettes and soft goats cheese. Wonderful!
Excellent. Try the local specialty in bread. It comes with a variety of very good quality french fillings like pâté , ham and cheese. Fast and friendly service
