L'essentiel - Tisch resevieren

L'essentiel doesn't look flash from the outside, but the interior has a modern setting with great artworks. The food is fantastic. We couldn't fault the lunch. I'm not sure what the entree was called as it was ordered for us, but it was delicious. It was a creamy mushroom and parsley sauce in a brioche type bun. For main course we had the chouxcroute and the beef, both excellent. The apple tarte and nougat parfait for dessert were also taste sensations. The service was also very good, so if you're passing through Sainte-Marie-aux-Chenes you won't find a better meal!
