a search for a place to eat in the region close to the langeais we decide to cross the loire on the advice of tripadvisor and come to this farm above the castle of villandry in the countryside... we eat at the restaurant by a warm evening of late summer under the trees ... little dishes but excellent quality and good value price. I ate a piater of holy jacques on apple jelly and passion fruit vinaigrette (all seasoned with olive oil) and then duck fragrant with citrus on a bed of small lentils. My wife ate tuna mixed with celery on algae salad. The children ate the typical child menu. (polet with potato purée, syrup and ice). the very good, light, butterless and at a good price .. friendly s...
very pleasant restaurant with large terrace under the walls. for families with children is ideal .... because they can run in the courtyard and see the animals of the farm safe. on the gastronomy side the cuisine is original and all in flavor. However disappointed by the leftist who had too much fungi and very few kidneys and veal ris (you had to look for them!!!) about the rum baba the savarin is apparently disappointing not to direct its choices on traditional in this restaurant.
What a great place! It is a family restaurant where food is delicious and guests are as friendly as you can imagine. We would like to thank Alexandra and her mother for this wonderful evening. We were made to feel like old friends. We ate, we drank and we talked with them. their English was better than my French. My only regret is to have spent only one night at villandry. We certainly return!Magnificent!!!
we stopped at villandry on the way back after a month in france and this restaurant was certainly one of the best we visited. we enjoyed a wonderfully prepared meal with excellent service in a enchanting setting. we booked in advance and the online reservation worked very well. we would return there without hesitation if we find ourselves in the corner and can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

We had a great evening. setting, kitchen and reception at the top. restaurant in the countryside, with total tranquility. A nice discovery. personal care and great kindness. We've had a lot of fun.
