Have just enjoyed a fantastic evening here. We found it purely by chance and were thrilled to find a truly original menu with friendly service and wonderful imaginative food. I have never had hot oysters before now all I can say is you have to try them (the scallops that accompanied them were cooked to perfection). For my main I enjoyed a delightful venison steak and the dessert was exquisite. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone whether French or English (incidentally if you are a pescatarian like my sister you should certainly visit here).
This is one of the best meals we have had in France this year, and we live here three months a year. I believe this young chef and owner will be going places. The décor is Plain Jane, but the food is great. We had a three course meal with Amuse Bouche and two glasses of champagne for under 60e. A meal like that in the U.S. would easily cost three times that. It is a bit out of the way ok, it's in the middle of nowhere, but it is worth the trip. And it's just ten minutes from a Excellent chambre d'hote: Domain de Gaudon.
Catastrophique Après avoir réservé 3 chambres deux mois à l'avance, avoir échangé plusieurs fois par mail et par téléphone avec la dame pour confirmer, elle nous a annulé notre réservation sans prévenir et nous nous sommes retrouvés sur le trottoir. Elle a dit ne pas se sentir concerné et ne pas se souvenir des 3 appels passés la veille. A fuir. Service: 1
Excellent rapport qualité /prix , le choix entre 3 ou 4 entrées plats et desserts au menu , plateau de fromages laissé à disposition , restaurant très propre , service discret , efficace , rapide et une gentille attention pour le chien qui a eu , sans qu on le demande , son bol d eau fraîche . Super weekend de l Ascension. Les propriétaires sont très agréables, disponibles. Restaurant à ne pas manquer, tout est fait maison . Beau volume de chambre, lorsque la rénovation sera terminé, il sera du super. Endroit à ne pas rater.
Accueil super sympa avec nos 2 beaucerons et une table de 13. Service vraiment correct avec un restaurant presque complet.Côté repas, très bon et copieux à des prix satisfaisants.Une très bonne adresse !
Had lunch there today, the plat du jour, it was lovely and they were very friendly. I live in Omaly, 2km from Cunlhat, and it is the first time I have eaten there. It is highly recommended!
