L'evidence - Tisch reservieren

Not sure why this hasn't been reviewed yet, as St Palais doesn't have a huge selection of places to go.. Caught in a rainstorm we ended up here out of coincidence rather than choice, and with a five year old, the menu (based around crepes) was unchallenging. The waiter/owner was charming and very helpful and also sympathetic to our bedraggled state. The fresh hot oyster starter with leeks Pineau de Charentes was absolutely first rate, and the crepes were exemplary, as well as not breaking the bank. This is more of a family place, and the menu is not gastronomic, but they clearly take advantage of the fresh local produce including fish and seafood. Honestly at first glance this is not the restaurant we want to stop at when we are on the coast due to the location and the decoration which is not to our taste and yet it was worth it. it's hard to sit there! The owner was very friendly and the cooking was tasty, homemade, good value for money, it was simple but very well executed, we ate well, thank you!

Great welcome! There were 13 of us, no problem... at 6 p.m. the bars of St Palais refused us except them! Very good ice cream and crepes.
