Have to a visit here didn’t match my expectation. Staff were lovely and were friendly and efficient but that was the highlight really. The entrance at the top of the stairs is a little strange and you feel a complete transition from the fancy shop downstairs, into a typical caf upstairs. The glass counter with pre made cakes wrapped up in plastic and whiff of chip fat (not even sure if there were chips on the menu) didn’t really set a good first impression. Others here have mentioned a short menu, this is true and for me isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I did find the menu a bit odd. Only kids menu option was sandwich. Child had fried eggs from the breakfast menu and that was fine. Husband...

3 breakfasts 2 teas 1 coffee 32 pounds. Food consisted of 1 dense sausage 2 small rashers of bacon 1 fried egg smallest hash brown ever beans and one slice of Rock hard granary toast. Have used this tea room for years always excellent food and staff. Staff where very nice but food was sparse and poor and over priced. There where .ore staff than customers should of realised this was bad sign. I was going to complain but wife a d niece said don't embarras them. Rang up today the iady I spoke to said they where cheaper than some of There rivals price is no t a sign of quality or value . Totally let down has had travelled from hartlepool for this special treat.

I hadn't been to this restaurant since COVID, but decided to treat ourselves as it was always good quality in the past. I was disappointed to find that the quality had declined significantly. My companion and I both ordered breakfast and tea. When the server brought our teas, she mentioned that our food wouldn't be long. However, it took 35 minutes before our meals arrived. Instead of being dishonest, they should inform customers of the expected wait time so they can make an informed decision. The breakfast was only average, and we could have found similar quality for a cheaper price elsewhere. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Called in with family on a day trip, what a wonderful tearoom, full of character, we were seated by the window and had a lovely view of Northallerton, the waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious, all locally sourced and fantastic quality, cooked to perfection and the homemade cakes for dessert were divine will definitely visit again on our way through the town. We thought this would be a lovely place for tea and cakes due to the lovely food shop downstairs, arrived to a cold restaurant that was also unwelcoming. Food nothing special. We did not stay long as so very cold. Unfortunately will not be returning.

The service at this restaurant was slow and breakfast order was incorrect. It was difficult to get the attention of the waiting staff and once the food was finally delivered, it was easy to be forgotten.

I used to be a regular customer until I was charged $7.10 for a tea and coffee and was told that they had raised their prices. I will not be returning. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Chose a cheese scone and wensleydale cheese and chutney and although tasty, rather expensive at £6.50. Didn't expect the cheese melted either.
