At Lightfoot, you can enjoy elevated American cuisine with a touch of French influence. Located in a former bank building, the ambiance is impressive and somewhat grand, yet the staff makes you feel welcomed and at home. This seems like an ideal spot for special celebrations, although we visited for a casual Sunday dinner. We kicked off our meal with the Virginia ham biscuits, which were absolutely delightful—savory, tender, and simply delicious. Each course that followed only improved upon the last, with everything prepared to perfection.
Had a wonderful dinner there this evening. We arrived early, around 5, and did not need a reservation. However, as we were leaving, it was getting crowded so I would definitely recommend reservations for evening dinner. The host was pleasant and kindly checked my coat. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays which only accentuates the ambience. It was a bank many years ago and though remodeled for a restaurant they kept much of the original inside
What a fantastic brunch! We celebrated a 50th birthday, and I couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. Our server was friendly and patient, allowing us to take our time with the ordering since we were visiting. It was wonderful to enjoy our experience without feeling rushed. The food was delicious, and the desserts were the best I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we’ll definitely be back soon. I can’t wait!
Crab bisque was really delicious, with lots of crab meat. Although I had only the spinach salad for an entree, it was delicious and loaded with all the goodies. My brother crab (or shrimp? and lobster pasta dish, and he said it was rich and delicious with lots of lobster. Service was a little awkward but nothing particularly bad about it. And the decor, the building, is just fabulous. Loved the place.

We had a fantastic brunch! The cheddar biscuits were amazing, and there was a wide variety of brunch options to choose from. I tried the smoked trout mousse on a bagel, and it was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere of the old bank is stunning. The service was impeccable, thanks to our wonderful servers, Lisa and Cameron.
Was really yummy brunch late on a Sunday. Slightly different take on the usual meal items. Few critique on flavor or salt missing here and there but we ate everything. Will come back to try some more. Great atmosphere with spacing and music was around but not on you.
I thought the food was delicious. My friend ordered a burger and wasn’t impressed, mentioning that it lacked seasoning. I guess it really depends on what you choose to order.
