This is totally one of those local, mom and pop type places I 'd recommend to out of towners! A tiny yet cute dining room- May be 6-7 small tables all decorated with Alabama Football memorabilia and cute trinkets is cozy and surprisingly quiet given its proximity to busy St. Stephens road is perfect for the menu- burgers, fries, chicken, soul food... The Fat Albert burger is their trademark dish... And oh my gosh its HUGE! delicious food and great service!
It takes a few minutes to get your order but it's well worth the wait. The Fat Albert burger is one of the best burgers I've ever tasted, made with fresh ground beef and loaded with fixins. The foot long Wow Dog is also delicious. It's cozy and clean inside and family run with friendly service. Lighthouse Cafe is my favorite place to eat in Eight Mile.
The best hamburgers in Mobile and the staff are always welcoming and professional! I moved to Alabama went to this place and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the service and the food. The Big Albert is the best burger in the Mobile area. No contest. Even better than Callahan's. And great chicken too. Every time our crew is in the area, we always swing by.
When I worked in Prichard, I ate there as often as I could. It was the best burger I have ever had in my life every single time.
