People saying that this is the best place ever? I guess they don’t out much. The place has a sign saying home cooking. Yea home cooking? I’m happy I don’t live there. We stopped for lunch. The lunch special was a hotdog with fries for $9.95. My wife ordered the chicken fingers and fries, both were the frozen kind. No surprise there. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. The veggies were the frozen kind, the potatoes were okay but the turkey tasted old. I complained to the waitress and she said it was only cooked two days before. How would she know? She cook it? I could only eat about half of my turkey and that's a good thing because it came back up after about half an hour...
I have been coming to this restaurant now for many years. Price is Ok, meal will fill you up. But the quality is lacking. Meals are hit and miss. Recently had fish and chips. The fish was Captain Highliners but very deep fried. Pork cultlets were OK but the gravy lacked salt. I don't understand why the food can't be better. Are they catering to the locals? Do they think that is what people want? The place looks nice and the staff are friendly. If I didn't have relatives in the area, I would never stop to eat here. I am sorry that I picked this small town restaurant to pick on, but I find it true for many small town restaurants. Would prefer if they did a few things well and had a smaller men...
Service was friendly but super slow. The food was not good either. I had a chicken club and the chicken breast looked boiled and was disgustingly anemic. A friend had their special of the day, a closed Denver sandwich. She choked that back and later regretted it. My boyfriend had what the menu claimed was a Philly Cheesesteak....it looked like old liver and was drenched in teriyaki sauce. On the plus side, the french fries were hot and crunchy and the beer was cold, served with chilled glasses. We will not be back.
Stopped at the Lighthouse for lunch with my husband and dad. Service was friendly and quick. The food was great, I had a mushroom burger which was very tasty, my husband had a cheeseburger which he said was very good; both meals came with a lot of fries. My dad had a bowl of mushroom soup, with big pieces of mushrooms in it. He said it was very good. Great meal for a decent price! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Took my Dad out for an evening meal and everything was good. We ordered veal, steak and the manicotti along with salads, soups and for dessert, we had pie. All in all it was a great experience. Our father lives locally and we live 12 hours away from here. The service was excellent and the timing for the salads, main entree and dessert was perfect. The ladies did a great job.
I have stopped in to this restaurant a few times over the years on my way home from camping out west. The service is good, staff are friendly and the food is very good. Nothing fancy but nice menu with lots of basic choices, good value in a nice family environment. Will definitely visit again.
We have visited this restaurant many times over the last 15 years. Always consistent, always friendly, always good. Family style large menu to accommodate many tastes. Stop here if your hungry and want a good old fashioned simple restaurant meal, and by the way they have great pizza too!
My wife and I stopped in to the lighthouse restaurant for lunch, we both ordered the steak sandwich which was excellent the portions were huge the server was not that friendly we sort of felt rushed, overall though I would recommend this restaurant. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This was a good place to eat. Clean, friendly service and we liked our good. I had the Mediterranean pizza and my friend had the chicken cordon bleu. We had enough left for supper tonight
