One of the hidden gems in Forest Park, this pocket sized sweet shop is so small it only fits about 1 customer at a time, and it 's only open during the summer and fall warm weather season. I stumbled on it while out walking my neighborhood and have gone back many times since. It 's right down the street from the school, so it has a lot of kids as customers, but they definitely have a lot of adult fans as well. Woman owned business, too! Must try: 1. the homemade butter cookies! My favorite are the traditional ones and also the PB&J ones. So delicious and crisp...decadent 2. the homemade gelato! My fave is the kiwi strawberry They also have candy and other snacks like giant pickles, plus coff...
What a delightful find! This pocket sized sweet shop is walking distance from my house, and I can't believe I lived here 6 years before discovering it. They have delicious homemade cookies (I've had the butter and the lemon iced, both were amazing), homemade Italian ices, candy and more. It feels good to support local small businesses too. I'll be stopping in regularly to satisfy my sweet tooth.
The best Italian lemonade in town! I'm quite particular about my Italian ice, and I always choose this place for their lemonades. They're thicker than average and made with real fruit, not just artificial flavoring. I wish I had taken a photo, but it disappeared too quickly!
Delicious cookies. Loved the Italian ice. Super helpful location if you need to bribe your kids to leave the pool. Lol. But for real! We are so glad to have a business back in this location and the person who runs it seems really kind. Hoping it does well! We will be back.

One of the best cafes in the Chicago area! The owner has a wonderful presence and is incredibly warm and welcoming. All the treats are fantastic, especially the classic butter cookies. My personal favorites are the lemon ones. Definitely a 5-star experience!
We love visiting “Ms. Valerie” and enjoying Italian Ice in the evening. My 3 year old knows all the flavors and likes to explain it to family from out of town when they visit. Ms. Valerie has brought joy and fun to the neighborhood. Thank you!
