We LOVED Taverna Ripetta, so much so that we returned for lunch the next day. We were greeted at the door by Mo, the owners’ dog, who clearly runs the show. The ambience created by the friendly and always-smiling owners is very welcoming; both for regulars and tourists. The prosciutto and melon is the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve had plenty. All of our dishes were excellent, and portions were perfect, even generous. We will certainly recommend Ripetta to any friends visiting Rome, and hopefully we will be able to return to enjoy it again.
We ate our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was absolutely wonderful. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, fresh and delicious. Some highlights were the vegetable soup, the wild boar and the pasta bolognese with amazing homemade pasta. Our server Antonio was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. We were in the lower level which was a little less charming than upstairs, but the only place for our large group.
An amazing place, the one’s you want to keep as a family secret. The two ladies managing this taverna are so lovely and are serving an amazing and tasty food, with local receipts. Taste and happiness are just meeting and you can see it is not a tourist place as local are there as well to find a little place, just to enjoy the magic of Roma taste!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Italy. Actually we went there twice during our 3 day trip in Rome. We love the way they deal with meat (beef, fish, shell, etc. tender but resilient, creamy/rich but not greasy, with fresh vegetables and the best vinegar. This charming restaurant requires reservations due to its excellent food and atmosphere, though there are limited tables available. The staff may have limited English-speaking abilities, but the English menu is a helpful resource. I highly recommend dining at this establishment.
We trusted the reviews, and we were vindicated. Unforgettable flavors, Mediterranean hospitality. I strongly recommend it to those who want to taste authentic Italian flavors and combine their stay in Rome with a feast of flavors.
This restaurant is fantastic. I have visited four times before and the quality is top-notch. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is excellent. It feels like coming home every time I dine there.

The meal was outstanding and the owner is incredibly kind. Her dog Mo adds a special something to the experience. The food is exceptional and prepared with love.
