L'Impala Des Vignes

We really loved the food, so tasty and well balanced. We were greeted by the owner/cook with a lovely big smile that set the positive tone for the evening. The restaurant was surprisingly not crowded, as the food and presentation were amazing. We both had the tomato salad entree, with different heirloom tomatoes in a well balanced dressing. For main we both had a very tender and moist sea bass, served with lovely vegetables. The two cheeses on the cheese plate were well chosen with a tangy cow cheese and a milder goat cheese. Everything was cooked well, everything was tasty and the wine list well chosen and reasonable. Superb white Vezelay. The proprietors are helpful and charming as well. We just felt, for the price it is all à la carte; no menu du jour it was slightly uninspiring. Snails in their shells perfectly fine but difficult to go wrong there. A warm chocolate fondant pudding accompanied by a yoghurt ice cream also perfectly decent but just not hugely imaginative.

Perfect family dinner locally recommended). Local stopover on our way to the UK from Provence. Very low key in a middle of small very well kept village. Magical food, lovely service and accommodating for our respective tastes. One of the loveliest tomato dishes I have ever eaten. Meat slightly tough though.

The food from the chef was delightful. The service very friendly and the location right next to the church was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Everything was great tomato salad, seabass with yuzu, turkey supreme. Nice terrasse near the village's church. Large choice of wines.
