After paying, I drove home with my order. I should have been suspicious when I took the sundae out of the bag; it was in a plastic container that I had to struggle to open! This was clearly not freshly scooped ice cream topped with warm caramel and fudge; it was obviously pre-packaged. Even though I had that nagging thought, I decided to give it a shot, despite realizing I could have gotten toppings at Tony's for much cheaper than the $10 this sundae cost me—yes, $10 for one turtle sundae! I tasted the whipped cream first, and it had absolutely no flavor, so I scraped it off. The ice cream, caramel, and fudge were all frozen solid, like a brick. However, I have to express my concern regarding your chili. What I received was more like chili soup! I don't believe you offer chili soup, so I don't think my order was mistaken. The chili had very little substance and was mostly liquid. Recently, I visited the location on 76th and Pulaski, and their chili was actually what I expect—thick, hearty chili, not a soup. It seems that will be where I take my business in the future. I just don’t understand why you would change something that has worked well for so many years.
The vanilla ice cream was okay, I ordered a brownie sundae to go. the sundae didn?t come with any nuts like stated on the menu. I also ordered a double hot fudge sundae and it had no hot fudge. Very expensive.
