Visited for a light meal perhaps, some desert and to listen to the live music on a Saturday night. It should have been a pleasant evening.........Blocked at the entrance by an aggressive secuity guard . Our membership cards were insufficient for entry, photo ID was demanded only one of the couple had one with us guard toook our cards and held license and called for someone from the club WHAT IS THIS!!! Arrogant offensive, made to feel like criminlas!!! The supervisor then appeared NO APOLOGY who then asked whey we wanted to visit. we where in the area to furniture shop and stopped into lions at springwood for some lunch. my family and i were pleasantly surprised with the service and the food. as soon as we walked in there was a friendly greeting. Maree was great. then we walked down to restaurant another friendly face. we ordered 4 meals and all 4 meals were hot and delicious. prices where not too bad as well. its very rare we see a friendly bar person and he was the so nice and very knowledgeable. this club may not look like the best club in Brisbane but they certainly excel in all other areas. i highly recommend a visit.
During our holiday in the area over Christmas and New Year's, we were pleased to sign up for discounts at this restaurant. The meals were the highlight, with a fantastic menu and a delicious selection of desserts. We also appreciated the snacks available in one of the bars, which allowed us to take some treats home. We couldn't get enough of the lemon garlic prawns! The live music added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and we found some great takeaway specials at the bottle shop.
The staff at this restaurant are disrespectful and it is one of the worst establishments in Brisbane. I would suggest avoiding this place and going somewhere else. Just this week, my 13-year-old daughter witnessed a drunk man pole dancing with his buttocks exposed. It was inappropriate behavior for a young girl to witness. When I voiced my concerns to the duty manager, they were unhelpful and rude.

I had a more than average experience at Lions at Springwood,the staff at the reception not very helpful especially when my wife could not produce her liscence even though she is a member,and the food was not very warm and service at the bar average they need to pick up their act.
Visited last Friday night with my partner for a meal. We tried the Swedish meatballs and eggplant lasagna on the special's menu. It was absolutely delicious! We even ended up staying back to watch the Karaoke in the front bar. Great night out.
Don't miss out on trying the Parmesan chicken, steak sandwich, and bourbon burger at this restaurant! Becoming a member saved me money right away.
We ordered the lunch rump steak, and boy was it tough and stringy. Don't think I will ever go back there again.
