We were in Limoges sight seeing, a lovely day we had just been to the cathedral and thought we'd like a bite to eat as it was 2pm.Nearly everywhere was shut or shutting up, something I still find hard to understand in France. We are in the cathedral area, loads of people milling around and the restaurants shut.So eventually found this Irish bar, sat down and they asked what we wanted to drink, so we ordered drinks, they brought them, my husbands was some kind of bitter when he had ordered Guinness, so I tried to get someones attention to tell them but they (the staff) were all too busy chatting to some customers who I assume were their mates!!So eventually got the eye of a girl and asked for...
I have no idea why some people moan about this exxy Bistro style faux Oirish gaff.We speak French & English. Never had a problem in either language. In fact the staff try to speak English (if they hear your accent) because they understand that is everyone's 2nd language and they want to make life easier for foreingers! That is unusual in this part of France. Trust me. Been here 14 years.The Fish & Chips are still as good as ever (several smaller thick chunks of battered loveliness accepted). Family to share a meal. First time I go back to this pub/resto. I immediately enjoyed the atmosphere. The quality of the service is at the rendezvous and the dishes offered are excellent. The blue burger is good and special mention to the skewer of duck magret, beautiful and consistent. A place that we have visited several times, never disappointed. Super pub restaurant, very friendly. The welcome is warm and the staff very pro. The kitchen is impeccable well cooked with good products. I recommend this address.
We are always very well received, the kitchen is really excellent! The choice of beer has the pressure is huge! In short, nothing to say, you'll spend a great time in Ireland whether it's a couple, a couple or a family!
