Wow, the atmosphere was fantastic and the food was out of this world! This is definitely a place to visit for a traditional family-run restaurant. We had a minor issue with the pizza, but it was quickly resolved. I’m not a fan of pesto, so make sure to specify that when you order, as it was included by mistake. One thing I'd suggest is to clearly state on your website that you don’t accept card payments. Despite these small hiccups, everything else was fantastic!
We visited last night and instantly felt welcomed into a lovely atmosphere. The food was stunning, the service was amazing and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The definition of a wonderful family run restaurant, absolutely worth a visit! Will definitely be a staple whenever we are in York. They don’t accept card payments but they made sure we were well aware when we booked over the phone so no issues there at all.
The food here is fantastic, and the service is excellent in a lively atmosphere. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash, though I believe they might take PayPal in a pinch. They have a great wine selection and some unique specialties, along with the usual pizza options. I especially love their policy of not allowing sweet corn, pineapple, or chicken as pizza toppings!
I absolutely adore this restaurant. It's quite cozy, and the food is genuinely authentic Italian. The pizza is fantastic, especially the one topped with an egg. They also occasionally offer some truly intriguing specials. I once tried a pumpkin pasta dish that was the best pasta I've ever tasted. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing as well. If you want Italian food then it's here....or go to Italy personally I wanted to try two stereotypical dishes in the lasagne and tiramisu....the result blown away by the ingredients and ample portion size...to go there to see for yourself. Yes its cosy and busy but its part of its charm will be coming back next year and after that.
Super friendly family restaurant. Food was very good and house wine was a winner. Can't take prams inside due to small size of restaurant but that's fine as they park it round the back for you and bring it back when ypu leave. They kept our 8month old entertained throughout our meal and kept her laughing. We enjoyed our visit.
Not a bad calzone and I've had them globally. Dough was great and nicely fired. Plenty of filling. I'd have liked to see an extra type of cheese and ham in there and maybe spinach to vary the taste and texture but that's subjective. Expansive menu and plenty on the special board.
