The Lobster Wok has been there as long as I can remember. It was there when I was in highschool back in the early 1980s. It cannot be the same owners and I doubt it is even the same restaurant, but I have never noticed it change. That said, it had never become one of my go to places. For the first time in thirty years, I decided to try it. The front room was more of a makeshift grocery store than a restaurant. In Brighton MA, my address is 10 minuets from this establishment. Today I ordered online for a delivery 1:42 pm I ordered from the lunch menu which is only available till 3pm. I waited an hr and a half before I called to see what's going on. The women says she didn't receive my order/ ticket .The women finally found my order and 3:50 pm i got my food. I saw that i was charged extra so u called the restaurant and I asked why , the lady said it was cause I'm in Brighton . I'm literally a 10 minuets drive from this place and that's closer than most restaurants I order from in Brighton. I order from here everyday and never have they ever charged me extra.... Excellent very fresh, Extremely AUTHENTIC real deal Chinese!!!! This place is a hidden gem from the 80s!!! Very hefty portions, Non greasy, homestyle cooking- I come here every week Always greeted with smile, the front desk owner she is extremely cheerful and accommodating They have unique dishes too including specialty fish, and also farm fruits they get tangerines, and Asian pears It’s so much value and you can smell the food a mile away, total freshness- trust me you will be Hooked!!!! I encountered Jayson Tatum at this restaurant yesterday. I expressed how great it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to bother him by asking for photos. When I went to pay for my items, I saw him trying to leave without paying for multiple orders of crab rangoons. The staff handled the situation professionally, but Tatum tried to delay the process and even made a joke that I didn't quite understand. He continued to disrupt the cashier as she rang up his orders.
I am updating my previous review to four stars. Overall, it was a good experience and the food was great today. Be sure to mention how many sauces you want, like duck sauce or mustard. The General Tso's chicken was delicious!
I ordered ahead on multiple occasions up to half hour and when I got to the sore they took my money and began cooking while noone else was waiting. The worse experience with asian food place ever
