I cant fault the staff or the ambience of the loft, great service and a great atmosphere, the food was good enough but not what I would call fine dining, the chips were undercooked, my other half had the monkfish with cherry sauce, out of interest as much as anything as we didn't see how the two ingredients went, he opted to give it a try and on balance they didn't go at all, the sauce was too sweet for the fish to carry, my friend had the lamb, and again although tasty, was not properly frenched with two bones in one cut and the mash was under seasoned, I had the orzo and it was pleasant but not special, if anything it was a little bland, the starters were really good and made for a promisi...
the quality and size of the Christmas menu meal was very good 4 courses with crackers too. the restaurant was a little hard to find, below a scenic little street and on a flight of steps. the building was beautiful with iron beams and a real feeling of a medieval loft. although it was a Saturday midday in December it was very quiet maybe diner had difficult ways to find the place! the service was very attentive and fast. maybe a little expensive, but still had a nice time from all!
Service was good, set in a nice period loft with good ambiance but the food was poor. For this price you expect good food but I’ve had better at the Harvester. Olives and sticky toffee pudding looked like they’d just been bought from Tesco. Steak nowhere near as good as Prime or Cote or Miller and Carter. Loft won’t last long if it keeps serving this. Needs to up its game with the food!

We were greeted by the welcoming staff who took our coats, which was a nice touch. The restaurant is charming and cozy. The staff were friendly and attentive. However, our main issue was with the food, as it fell short of our expectations given the type of establishment and prices.
The food was greasy and bland . It was a Bank Holiday and we were surprised the restaurant was so quiet but not once we had the food. The Italian restaurant below was heaving so will try that next time!!
