We went on the recommendation of our hotel clerks. Nice log cabin atmosphere. Service was good, salad bar was clean plentiful, food was fair. I got a pork medallion dish that was fair at best (very bland! The sauce that came with it was good, but it needed a lot more of it to give the pork any flavor). My husband got the steak, which was very small for the price and just OK. I was hoping it would have been much better given the rave reviews! This is just our experience, hopefully you will enjoy it more than us because obviously we are a minority amongst the reviewers.
I dine there often, but I found our last dinner to be somewhat disappointing. My son's filet resembled a hamburger—flat instead of square. My husband’s Cajun Mahi Mahi lacked any spiciness, and my visit to the salad bar was underwhelming, mainly because the Caesar salad had no flavor at all—definitely not cheesy. Despite this experience, we will return because we really appreciate the atmosphere and the service.
Great place for Lunch, Excellent Service and great Food served very hot. Social DISTANCING in place and they do a good job at it, AND we will be going back there soon, say like in the Spring time. Everything is wonderful here And I highly Recommend this to you all. Just went back today on October 19, 2023. Service was great and Food was Excellent. We will be going Back and soon.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The salad bar was fresh and delicious. My husband and I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant and we were both very disappointed. The chicken salad had no taste. The French fries were good and hot. But the chicken salad... killed it.

A well known staple in Lake George providing a warm Adirondack atmosphere within a log crafted restaurant that conveys the spirit of lake George. Offering an extremely popular salad bar, a decent menu of American favorites and absolutely delicious appetizers.
This was the best prime rib I've ever tasted. The waitstaff were incredibly attentive, polite, and truly seemed to enjoy their work. Although it's on the pricier side, it's absolutely worth it. The cozy atmosphere made it ideal for a romantic dinner.
I went out for lunch because I had heard great things about their classic salad bar, and I was not let down. Check out the photo! There are plenty of options to choose from.
I ordered a cheeseburger and enjoyed the salad bar, while my wife had the crab cakes appetizer and stuffed shrimp, along with the salad bar as well.

Whenever we are in/near Lake George we dine at the Log Jam. The food is good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the salad bar is the best!
