I had visited this restaurant, located in the old Pollok Juniors Social Club building, in the past before attending a game next door. Upon my first visit after it transformed into a restaurant, I was quite impressed. I arrived on a Wednesday at 4:30pm and noticed that only two other tables were occupied during my visit, so I cannot comment on how the service may be during busier times. AVOID the place if you value your health. I have just has a disgusting experience in Loks. I had the apple crumble dessert and found a coarse hair hidden in my food. Could be a nose or pubic hair for all I know. I was grossed out by the experience as you can imagine wondering whether my main dish had also been contaminated in a similar manner unseen. What took the biscuit though was the dissmissive tone and manner the manager (I 'll use the term loosely here) dealt with my complaint. Although the exterior may not be appealing, it was a pleasant surprise once we stepped inside. The interior was spacious and charming, with a friendly staff and mouth-watering food. The burgers, beef, and chicken were fantastic, and the menu had a great variety at reasonable prices. Despite the bustling atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon, I am eager to return on a quieter day. The food here is consistently good, excellent value for the price. High quality ingredients and thoughtful menu, well-executed. The market menu is great value at £16 for 2 courses and there is a good range of dishes offered. Very child friendly, £5 for mains and £1.50 to add a starter or desert or refillable drink. The service is always great also. Would recommend for a casual meal or a special occasion.
Booked in last minute for a Sunday roast. We were not disappointed. Had salt and pepper chicken starter, cooked in light crumbed batter, chicken was succulent and tasty. Followed up with the Roast Beef, cooked to perfection and followed by Cranach cheesecake, thoroughly enjoyed all my courses. It's been a while since we visited and we were not disappointed. Lovely cosy restaurant, staff attentive and friendly and food great. Two us us chose the special lunch menu and the third had the pensioner's lunch. We were all delighted with the quality of the food and the chicken sate I had was so succulent.

The food at this restaurant is excellent and freshly prepared. I highly recommend the seabass dish as it is great value for money. The desserts are also excellent! The atmosphere is great and the service is top-notch. I definitely recommend this place.
