I booked through open table for 3 people, shortly after received a call that they didn’t have space for me. I tried to work it out over the phone and they said they would accommodate us since I had to leave by 7:45. The place was half occupied the entire duration of our meal and they put us in a horrible table next to a brightly lit office in the corner. The “house specialty” short ribs lacked flavor, even basic salt and the mashed potatoes were very dense and chunky. The service was great hence the break on my rating. On a side note, I didn’t appreciate seeing boars head brand in their deli fridge so I didn’t order the meat and cheese board.
we loved everything about this restaurant. the personal was energetic and friendly, the atmosphere was perfect, and the eating was amazing! we were a little nervous as our Spanish is not so great, but we wanted to try it. to our surprise, all those who helped us also spoke English and gave us a menu in English. I had the Catalan stew and it was delicious. my hubby had the cod that was also amazing. we also had the somego (a kind of cheese) croquettes, and for desserts chocolate cake with somego cheese. the drinks were also amazing. infused with a hauch of basilikum or other crumbles. can't wait to come back!
We were celebrating our anniversary that evening Unfortunately the waiter was not familiar with the menu He had to leave and come back every time to answer our questions regarding the menu Also he would hover waiting for us to make a decision We felt pressured and ended up having to leave with just the appetizers ordered It is a shame as I had been there before and had enjoyed it But it has definitely declined in service and in selection of food
Excellent restaurant with a good variety of plates. Also, the wine list is very good. We have for appetizer the beef carpaccio and the Manchego croquettes both were delicious. For main plate we have the cod and was also very good. Recommended.

L'Oliva is consistently good. the menu has a nice selection, and the food is always prepared properly. The wait staff is pleasant and helpful. I have had many business dinners and lunch there. It is consistent and never disappoints
Very good wine selection- ordered pimientos piquiilo filled with ground meat very delicate and good presentation, radish carpaccio very thinly sliced and roasted short rib. Delicious.
My favorite restaurant. Never lets me down. Great food and service
