Needed a place to meet our Medford-living daughter and our Charlestown-based son for Saturday lunch. LongCross won the assignment and it is likely to be atop the future lunch list for the Medford area. Great, easy parking. A new building and restaurant with lots of windows. Service was very good, seated right away and orders taken for drinks and food at a leisurely but not they forgot about us pace. It is Oktoberfest so I tried an Oktoberfest beer, of which there were several, and brats. Delicious. Our daughter got a burger and I admit I ate 1/4 of it and brought the rest home with me. I was staying around the corner from the restaurant for a business trip and wound up having dinner here twice. I got the salmon one night and it was amazing. Finally a place that doesn't cook the fish to death but it still have a nice, crispy skin. The other night I got the fish and chips. Again, the batter on the fish was light and crisp. The fish wasn't what I was used to when ordering fish and chips as the fish was huge and covered the plate. Restaurant was nice, clean and offered a nice variety of food. The service at the bar was great. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back.
Went for the first time today with my sister for lunch, parked in front. The restaurant was celebrating Octoberfest and an oomph band playing. Ordered fig pizza, salad and eggs Benedict with short rib they have a brunch menu until 2:00pm. Everything was delicious, also I tried an Irish whiskey. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding, also delicious, coffee was ok. They also gave out little cups of beer to try. wonderful experience, glad I tried it, pizza oven and a fireplace for cold rainy days like today. Highly recommend.
Love this bar. Fantastic selection of foreign domestic beer and high quality meals. I always make it a point to stop here whenever I’m in the area. Two more recent developments I’ve noticed is they’ve been holding trivia on Tuesday nights and it seems to have turned into a Tottenham Hotspurs bar during games weekends lol. Love this local gem of a place! Their jalepeno mac and cheese is the best thing on earth. Sooooo goood!!! Ambiance is nice and lively, always great service when we visit, and food drinks are delicious.
I had the Shrimp bowl and it was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service was great and the place is very clean. Parking is accessible too, if I am in area j would definitely go back.
