My main complaint with this market is the limited operating hours of 9am to 7pm. There were several evening when I would have loved to have an evening coffee or gelato and enjoy the city views but all of the shops (except Green Leaf Brewing) close at 7:00pm. Other than that, there were plenty of interesting shops and restaurants. This is definitely less of a farmer's market and more of a collection of small goods type of market. I did get a great massage from the shiatsu place on the first floor!
It's no Granville Island, but then again neither is Granville Island anymore. As a local, I used to shop here several times per week. It was where I bought all of my fresh produce. Over time, the stalls decreased, and you start to realize you're just standing amongst a bunch of tourists.... Since it really declined over a decade ago, things have picked up. I still go back for specialty foods, but it's no longer my go-to place for fresh fruit and vegetables.
If you are looking for a variety of special foods, coffee, soups, kitchen items, trinkets, leather goods artisan vendors and more. Outside, there are a selection of view and lounge points looking across Vancouver. Harbour. You can also find an assortment of good restaurants in the surrounding areas. Lots to see and do in the area. The Lonsdale Quay Market is great stop.
I was staying at the Lonsdale Quay Hotel located above the market, and found the bus and seabus terminal on-site very handy. As well, there's plenty of boutique shops for gifts, snacks, and drinks. There's a take-out micro brewery and wine store, which is handy for hotel drinks. The market is overflowing with everything you want, and it's clean, airy and bright. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We possibly came a bit too early for the market, as not all of the stalls were open. There were, however, a decent number of vegan options. It's still a cute place to visit; the Seabus is a fun ride and the view of the city skyline from the Quay is great. It's definitely worth exploring further into Lonsdale/North Van.
Very handy grocery store with lots of variety and located ideally right next to the Sea Bus terminal to downtown Vancouver. Friendly staff always carrying a smile :) I recommend this food store for any local or tourist staying and/or traveling through the area.
This has always been a high light of our visits, but this time it appeared to offer less. Several closed shops . . . disappointing as its location is superb and a popular spot for browsing, relaxing, enjoying the view.
Unfortunately, this area pails in comparison to Granville Island. I enjoyed riding the water ferry and meeting nice people along the way, however, there wasn't much to do, buy or enjoy at the Lonsdale Quay Market. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This was a great spot to shop for groceries. There is a farmers market every Saturday selling all local produce. Plenty of coffee shops and bakeries too with clothing stores up on the first floor.
