L'opale - Tisch resevieren

Beautiful grounds, nicely decorated place . but the food( at least my dishes) was disappointing ! Service was friendly but a touch slow especially if dining with children. The amuse bouche was nothing to write home about it was a piece of tempura fish . My first course of courgettes flowers did not taste of the delicate flowers at all, it was a fried ball stuffed with something which left a bad taste in my mouth. And the main course of risotto was piled with boiled vegetables and soaking in emulsion ! The noisettes were fine On the whole for me , altogether expensive and disappointing food but a fine evening with lots of wine, champagne and family

We recently dinned in 4 different restaurants in the area, all high end. But l‘Opale was the best, in terms of setting, food and services. We first enjoyed the sun set area, then went to our table on the terrace. Perfect food, the lobster entree is very good. Good selection of wines. Attentive service. We certainly can recommend this place and will come back.

I usually just rate my absolute best (or absolute worst experiences. L'Opale had an exquisite setting next to the vineyards and the Alpilles. Everything was was delicious, but the dessert was especially memorable. I wish I'd taken a picture, but it disappeared too quickly. ;
