L'Opidom - Tisch reservieren

Whilst searching on the internet for a restaurant just outside the centre of Tours, I came across L’Opidom. I didn't find the restaurant web-site very informative, but the TripAdvisor reviews were generally very good.After dashing into the restaurant in a downpour of rain, we were immediately made to feel very welcome and helped off with our coats and then seated at our table. The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way, without being over-attentive. The service was fairly formal, but correct and very professional. We lunched here to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was a superb experience.The dining room is large and so the tables are not too close to each other -good for Covid times! We all took the Opidom menu. The starter of langoustine tails...a delight to look at and to eat -it was served with a little cup of bisque seasoned with ginger. The main course of St.Jacques was really unusual and a surprise of tastes and texture. The dessert of vanilla and chocolate was another visual treat followed up by great flavours. A good espresso finished off a superb meal. I was driving so did not try any wine but the sommelier gave good advice nd the others enjoyed their bottle of Touraine Chenonceaux. Very...

Wonderful meal (we took the "chef's choice" option where you do not know what the content of your meal will be), lovely friendly service. The owners have tried hard with the decor, but there is still a little way to go (by my taste :-)Definitely will be returning here, possibly with friends/family as the restaurant is very roomy.

Great food served on tables that are not "glued" to each other! Nice feel of a 5 stars restaurant at the price of a 2/3 stars!Service is great, sommelier very knowledgeable and friendly naming some small unknown wineries with terrific wines.Food very well presented.

menus offer limited but great choices quality of food is excellent service is very formal, but correct certainly worth a visit
