In the middle of the Cevennes Mountains the small town of Saint -Jean-du-Gard is a tourist hub in the area and this hotel cum restaurant is in the middle of town. Even for groups of tourists their meals are very well done, we had alaska pollack fillet with a creamy sauce rice and carrots. The dishes were well prepaired and very tasty. A recommendable adress in this small gem of a town.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of a nice yellow house but the dining area is located in a huge room half empty, it made me feel odd. The 29€ menu is good with 4 coures including a nice cheese offering. The owner insists in saying everything is homemade but i have doubts. Overall a good place value for money.
We went there for lunch with our two children (aged and They have a great lunch formula and you can order the same for the kids! Finally a place where they can eat more than chicken-with-fries. Superb service as well!
that is a beautiful restaurant. beautiful quality bed linen and cutlery. we had a nice meal. I am sure that the height of the season you need to book.
