None of us had been here and this spot was picked plainly off of reviews and there is a reason they are so high. Me and my wife love Los Agaves. We are always treated extremely well. The service is exceptional. Alesandro, the assistant manager, is the absolute best and always makes us feel welcomed and cared for. Tony is great also and very friendly. The food is prepared at such a high level, and it really punches above its weight in quality and flavor. The head chef is amazing! We have been to Los Agaves in Santa Barbara, and me and my wife and I both agree that there is something special about the way the food is prepared at Los Agaves in Westlake. Discovered this place while I was planning a surprise date for my husband on a Saturday afternoon, we went there and were seated out in the patio which was amazing. Everything about this place starting from receiving us at the entrance, till us leaving after we had our food was amazing. The variety food and drinks available at this place is amazing. The food really tasted heavenly and the drinks are to die for, the service was really excellent and we would definitely come back here and recommend this to everybody. The food also has vegetarian options which were conveyed, conveniently by George The margarita guy.
I love this restaurant and think it's better than any other Mexican restaurant in the area. It's a bit strange to order at the counter while still paying sit-down prices. The service can be inconsistent. The prices on the menu don't always match the bill, especially for drinks. Although the chicken fajitas are my favorite, it seems like the portion size has decreased while the price has increased. It seems like everyone is charging more and giving less these days, so it's not necessarily the restaurant's fault. This restaurant is a delightful spot for dining, offering delicious food and a variety of margarita options. While it's not exactly cheap, it's also not overly pricey. Be sure to take a look at the specials board before making your decision. The tacos sayulitas were a special item and a fantastic choice. There is plenty of outdoor seating available in the expanded parking lot and outside the entrance of the restaurant. They are dog-friendly outside, but you must place your order inside at a walk-up counter.
This restaurant is simply amazing. They offer a delicious selection of authentic dishes with true Mexican flavors. They are also accommodating to custom orders based on your preferences. I personally enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and quesadilla, topped off with a custom-made churro and flan for dessert. For those who enjoy bars, they have a great selection of agave tequila and a full bar with any type of alcohol you may desire. Happy eating!
I miss dining out so much! The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating available. We tried the nachos, chicken mandarin salad, and fish tacos. The nachos were enormous! My kids shared them and couldn't even finish them. They also give out free salsa and chips, which were tasty!

I enjoy some of the dishes at Las Agaves. The food is of good quality, though I wouldn't describe it as outstanding. However, the pricing is reasonable, making it a good value for the money.
