I almost rated this place a 4? we waited for 10 15 minutes just to place a drink order. We were given our menus and left alone all while every table around us was taken care of. At some point a waitress finally stopped by and decided to just help us out. Thank goodness she did because the food is great! I?m so glad we didn?t leave. If you see this place on Google Maps it looks like it?s in the middle of a subdivision but it?s not really. You owe it to yourself to stop by and grab a meal. Ordered 2 Barbacoa Burritos with El Pastor Tacos and a large Guacamole.. the burritos tasted like Roast Beef with cilantro and onions added.. Tacos were decent, and the beans were dry with no flavor. I ordered a large guacamole because I was craving it and I was disappointed .You can only taste the 2 different onions, the white and the red onions. My order was a pick up so for the guacamole being a large it came in a half filled 8oz coffee cup.. (the guacamole with the tacos was from another local restaurant, not from Los Agaves).
Party of 7 on a slow Sunday afternoon with very few people inside at tables. The waitress seemingly couldn't understand any of our questions related to the dishes. Several things were slightly off about our orders and my food in particular was greasy, and extremely salty (and I love salt so to say too salty for me is saying something). It also took 15 minutes to get a glass of water which is a bit of time when you've been eating straight salt and you're 15 feet from the refreshment bar.
Bad service and bad food. I love cheese, but I had to look for my food among all cheeses on Enchiladas. Rind-Enchiladas had to order because our waitress doesn't speak English and I didn't want to confuse her anymore than she did. Our waitress checked us on the way from another table. They were not busy and stood in the waiter's station. I got my food before my mother that it was in the pick-up window while they were talking. Never!
Food was expensive and large portions. But it was spoiled and had no taste. The waitress somehow added someone else's food to our tab and overloaded us around 40 dollars that we had to take them out after we asked to see the bill that she didn't want to give us when she printed it, torn it up and had to ask for a reprint
Beat Mexican food can be found for the area. The waitress was super nice and was very attentive to our big party. Food tastes super, tacos de tripas we are great! Perfectly cracked and the portions were more than enough. Horchata was sweetened to perfection. Will definitely be back when I'm ever back in town.
Maggie provided wonderful service! The food was great and came out hot and fresh. Definitely recommend for family dinner or just a night out of the kitchen!! The churros are the best dessert!!
Good environment, good service, but not the food. My shrimp with bacon was stuck to the stick and hard as rock. Caldo de siete mares has squash and potatoes in it. Almost all shrimp is mini.
Many dishes to choose from the menu is huge. The house specialities are good, and the sizzling plates are huge. Good bang for your ass here.
