We carefully selected this restaurant based on reviews, booked in advance as this was to be our premier dining experience in Rennes before moving on to the coast. We even checked earlier in the day that we would have an outside table, as this is a lovely street to take in the old town atmosphere. When we arrived we were told we were sitting indoors despite there being a table free. This was not acceptable to us, and they compromised by taking a table from the bar opposite and placing us on our own outside a closed down furniture shop. Very disappointing, as they made it seem like we were being awkward.
We just had dinner in this restaurant? And I can't think worse. kitchen staff mistreated the food. chops of carbonized lamb, while they had been ordered half-cooked, and shrimps flambées as black and the taste of burnt as the lamb. This leads to confusion. But the worst is, I repeat, the abuse of food. Don't fall into the trap. in the end comes the relationship between quality and price. very expensive for what they kick you to eat, to forget that you were there. A nightmare to reindeer, in short.
about 90% of the time, my wife chooses fish or seafood from a menu, while 80% of the time, I prefer meat or poultry. finding a place that takes both meat and fish seriously was a treat. I can't attest to cooking at the fire of wood, because we dined out by a beautiful evening, but the food certainly had the taste of having been so cooked. I'm not sure it took advantage of potatoes, but everything else was good and cheap.
On vacation in Rennes, you can't go to Rennes without eating a good crepe, it's Brittany. Unfortunately the crepe restaurants were full, I came across by chance, in a small restaurant, Call the bone and the edge, At 21, rue des Saint-Georges in Rennes, Served, excellent, a lovely personal welcome, everything is cooked over a wood fire, To recommend.

The meal was very good! We had a blast. Bravo to the cook who delivers! But the service wasn't great... It was a bit complicated when it came time to pay. They registered on the holiday vouchers site but don’t take them. Too bad, I came to use them ’
arrived on a Saturday night without reservation, with family, we were well received. The meal was simply excellent. My son still remembers his ward. a good welcome and good service with quality, make me return to it very soon.
Friendly, delicious, and reasonably priced! Can’t beat that combo. We really enjoyed our evening and will definitely return. It’s fun to see the wood-fired grill from the table.
small nice restaurant where food is really good. The only small hic lacks choice at the beer level. the staff is attentive and attentive. I strongly recommend.
