I've been to this restaurant several times and have never encountered any issues until today. I went for dinner with my daughter this evening, and the place was very busy. I ordered the grilled chicken, as I always do, but this time the chicken was overcooked and dry. To make matters worse, I accidentally spilled the hot butter and garlic sauce from my plate onto my leg, resulting in what looks like a second-degree burn. Within a few minutes, that burn turned into a painful boil.
I’ve visited this location many times and have always had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, this visit was different. The golden tacos were bland and lacking flavor. I’m not sure if there was a change in the recipe, the chef, or if it was simply a bad batch. I should have sent it back. My mom brought it up to our waiter, who assured us he would inform the manager. I’m unsure if I’ll return.
I made a reservation for 20 people the night before, and we were seated in the back room. The service was outstanding! As for the food, while it isn't the best I've ever had, it's certainly among the top options for mid-range Tex-Mex dining in the area. It's definitely a local favorite!

Los Tios has always been a favorite of mine and my family's. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the other customers are wonderful.
Been coming into Houston for lunch or dinner at Los Tios for the past 40+ years. Can’t wait for my next visit!

"I really love this place!! Amazing coffee, delicious food and great desserts pastries. They are open until 23:00, so it is a really good place for evening work or study. The only drawback that has happened in several visits is to prepare food for a long time."
