Within walking distance, we wanted to try this new Italian restaurant and the decor is nice and the staff friendly though there are glitches in transmission between the waiting staff and the kitchen staff. I tried their pizza of the day which was a Parma pizza with parma ham, stewed eggplant, parmesan shavings and small mozzarella balls. The pizza looked good when it arrived (a little later than expected since there was a glitch in my husband's lasagna order with mixed messages about the timing between the waiter and kitchen staff) however, the fluffy crust was not crispy and neither was it under the filling. The lasagna with bolognaise sauce was average and not cooked in a deep pan but rath...
Before going into the world class pizzas experienced here the top level of service from every member of the staff also must be mentioned. We were even offered a 75 cl very nice bottle of sparkling cidre because of having to wait 45 minutes (which was due to a local festival on the day and also communicated before taking our orders . But the pizzas, the pizzas, the pizzas. There is a before and after this delight of perfect dooh, crust and cheese fresh sallat etc, second to none this was simply the most breathtaking meal of our entire 9 day trip through France and Germany. And also did I mention the service from the staff? :
arrived a little late on a Saturday night, and without having booked, we were very welcome by the boss who found us a nice little table. the order was quickly taken by a very friendly server. we chose two risottos: one with asparagus and the other with black rice. Both were very good, the rice would have deserved to be a little less fade, with a little more seasoning. We had a good time. 2 very successful desserts: tiramisu and mellow chocolate came to finish a very good time. The check can be a little high.
