Located centrally in Hanlon street surfers paradise about 80 metres from the famous beach strip and open early for breakfast and great coffee. I like simple, honest food that doesn't try to be something else at a stupid price and Lot 1 owns up to being great value in this regard.I had breakfast here three days in a row and loved it. There are plenty of delicious options but each day i decided on the scrambled eggs on turkish and added a few sides as I felt like it. Smashed avocado with two poached eggs also sounded enticing. Prices are reasonable for the area and the young guys that serviced me were super friendly.
Arrived in Surfers ahead of the GC marathon. Stepped out of our apartment in search of a good high carb, high protein lunch, something simple....Lot 1 obliged with smashed avo, poached eggs, bacon and baked beans. Just what we needed. The rest of the family enjoyed chicken Turkish bread sandwiches and a double cheeseburger. Friendly and efficient service, good coffee and juice. Would recommend!
My partner's breakfast protein stack was good he said. My omlette was a bit dry, although had very generous filling.Bread was not great, felt it comes from a supermarket.Guys use syrops to make milkshake, according to various tubs with it that we've seen. I wouldn't say it's great. Plus using plastic takeaway cups for even water is not quite sustainable...
It's been my favourite café for açai and vanilla coffè latte. You build up this amazing relationship with working staffs that they eventually knowing exactly what you want and how you want it every time walk into the café. Come try it and you will be hooked just like I did.

Lot 1 is a fantastic cafe in the heart of Surfers with that real local feel. The coffee is excellent and the staff friendly. We haven't eaten there but seen the food being served to other customers. I highly recommend Lot 1.
Atmosphere is cryptic and unique, coffee is great, food is surprisingly good, and staff are very friendly and pleasant. Great little family run business.
I've had a lot of Acai bowls in my time and this by far was the best I've ever had, so thick and fresh! Really lovely service too. Definitely recommend
