we were on this weekend in fairview heights for the Nascar races and were looking for a non-chain restaurant to eat on Friday night. someone has proposed lotowata creek. we expected a long waiting time, but almost immediately sitting. the waiter tavis was on our table to get our drink order. my wife had the seafood combo platter and I had the hillbilly sponge sandwich. on the top was speck, 3 eggs and in cheese with a boot of gravy on the side shattered. I would suspect that the ding weighed over a pound and was a full foot long. it was excellent. our waiter was very human, one of the best we had recently. a very pleasant culinary experience. I am happy to give this place 5 stars.
the best south food and huge portions! hands down the best cream spinat I ever tasted. they can't go wrong with nothing in the menu. they start with fresh mini-loaves of brot and tasty honey butter. they will certainly not be able to eat bread. then you come out to eat and they can't stop eating because it's so good. their prices have risen, but it is still worth for special occasions.
The food was over cooked. Ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was beyond dry. The atmosphere was ok and the service was pretty good. Just took long for food to come out. The bread for the burgers and chicken sandwiches are overwhelming. They don't leave any room for other ingredients to speak within the culinary conversation.
they still have barriers between the tables, so they make themselves worried. they thoroughly clean between customers. that was great. the waitress was pro aktiw to get drinks that require the needs. great experience
Slow service but server was excellent, friendly, and had good information about the menu. The food was the best I have had over many visits (pre-pandemic).
Walking into this place is like walking into a restaurant in Sep 2020. Like plastic up everywhere, bar closed, half the staff wearing masks.

I've gone twice and service and food were not good. Walked away hungry. I won't go again.
