We'd been seeing this place for quite a while until we decided to try them. It is located in a complex at the corner of Decoto and Alvarado Niles Road. It has a lot of parking for customers. We came around noon time and we were seated right away. It has a QR code on the table so that you can order on their apps. We asked the server if they offer lunch plates and were told that the menu is not on the QR code we were given a separate menu. We ordered the beef chow mien. This plate is delicious. I'm eagerly counting down the days until Lotus Cafe reopens. I reached out to them on Google, and they mentioned in a vague response that they plan to change to a different style of restaurant. They really came through for us during the Covid pandemic with their late-night hours, and that's how I discovered this place. Since then, I've been ordering their Grilled Stir-Fry Pork Ribs every week. It would be a huge disappointment if this dish and their Szechuan-style Chinese food don’t make a return.
It was a jade resort choice? The menus had weird stuff on it. But. We picked what we thought was normal or sounded good? To our surprise? It was real good and I'd recommend it to others myself! They were worried we were ordering too much? But rest assured. Even though we took sone home? It was gone by the end of the day! . I myself? Was a happy camper. With what I ordered. That's my opinion.my family's opinion also. They really enjoyed it! I found a new place to eat at!
I paid my tip in cash, yet they charged me an additional $5 on my credit card. A $5 tip on a $30 meal is over 15%. The manager refuses to acknowledge the error, insisting he reviewed the camera footage, which doesn't address the issue. It felt like they took advantage of us since we were students. Their lunch menu is such a great deal! I'm so surprised and excited $13 for a lunch set, what can you expect more! Food actually tastes good, they have a combination of Szechuan food and Cantonese food, variety of flavors. Service was good too, really friendly. The combo menu looks good too, price wise. I also love how they have booth space for smaller parties, really comfortable.

The food was enjoyable, and the service was quite good. The atmosphere was average, but the convenience of plenty of free parking was a plus.
Spicy, flavorful, strong flavors unique dishes. Order with QR code. A little tricky to order without pics and the translation isn’t completely accurate. Inside is nicely decorated. Got the sour fish extra ten bucks for the snakehead fish fillet as recommended by the staff. String beans. Spicy lamb. And house noodles. Would return.
Is the restaurant permanently closed? I tried to contact them several times, but received no response. I visited the location and found it locked, with some tables and chairs removed.
