Expectations were high for dinner, but reviewing the main meal alone, it was really quite a disappointment. Duck was served with thick, fatty skin. And for the adventurous, there are some exotic animals on the menu like boar and kangaroo. Sides were one asparagus stalk, one cherry tomato and one of the tiniest yellow bell peppers. A bit of quinoa mixed with lettuce to make it appear substantial. Beef bavette was flavourful but chewy and pricy. The plusses - rustic and relaxed ambiance, profiteroles for dessert and we loved our bring-your-own-wine choice.
After a beautiful walk in the nearby Saint Bruno mountain, my friend and I went to Louis XIV. My friend had raved about the place and how nice the owner was. I was not disappointed. The service is excellent, the food was fantastic, ( we had the steak ) the owner was charming and the ambiance and decor was pleasant. Reservations should be made as it was quite busy on Friday evening and oh yes, bring your own wine! Keep this place for a romantic supper or a fun night out or lunch with a client! They will think you have good taste! and you do! Enjoy.
J"y suis allée au moins 5 fois, cet apportez votre vin en est un bon sur la rive sud. Dans une petite maison, belle grande terrasse chauffée, excellente nourriture française, le menu change à tous les mois, cette fois-ci foie gras sur croustade aux fraises, pieuvre grillée, thon cru à l'asiatique, longe de veau, brie fondant décadent... Service excellent
rien d'extraordinaire bonne bouffe et pas trop cherjuste parfaitapporter votre vin vous permet de choisir votre vin à la SAQ et sauver quelques $$$si vous voulez être tranquille demandez d'être à l'étage...et tant qu'à y être allez-y vers 20h vous pourrez ainsi prendre tout votre temps... Toujours bien reçu avec le sourire par le personnel qui offre un très bon service. L'ambiance y est toujours agréable. Sommes allés plusieurs fois toujours le midi. Rapport qualité -prix intéressant. On peut y apporter son vin. Le foie de veau était excellent tout comme le plat du jour.
We went there for my friend's birthday. The food was amazing. This a family run business and you can tell that they genuinely care. It gets loud, but it's entertaining. Loved it. Would go again!
We have been there a couple of times and the only reason we can think of why it is still quite popular is because it is a BYOB.Not impressed with the food,presentation nor the service.

Bonne cuisine, bon service, ambiance décontracté. Nous étions deux et étaient assis dans un petit coin. Ça ma pas dérangé mais ma femme n'a pas aimé.
