L'OURS BLANC RESTAURANT

As some reviewer mentioned the hotel changed owners , it is now managed by an hotel group and the family feeling and warm welcome is not anymore here. We spent the first week of January their , the hotel was full and surprisingly in the middle of the Covid spread , they opted for breakfast and lunch buffet for half board, quite surprising. The hotel was obviously very understaffed ... not their fault entirely but can 't understand why the hotel is full if they cannot assume the service ... The spa promise was a deep disappointement, it turns to be an hotel club swimming pool with kids running and jumping everywhere. despite our complaints. It was my 2nd lunch visit this season. The first was excellent and so was this occasion. I was there with my ski guide for the day an we both chose the very unusal Octopus dish. I spend summers in Greece so have it quite often as a starter. This was a main dish and was excellent. It obviously was not freshly caught but was really tasty anyway. The soups as starters were also excellent with very polite,friendly service. My instructor tells me he returned with his clients a few weeks later and also had another super lunch here. On a warm sunny day I would recommend lunch here on the terrace without a doubt. Normal average prices for a nice mountain restaurant but super service. We will all mis...

This hotel has now chnaged ownership. Pascall and Margaret have retired after mnay years. It was interesting to find the changes. Be careful..the sign has gone so it is located just below Hillary Hotel under the doron chair. So the terrace is larger..very nice decor especially for groups of 4 or 6 people. The view as usual un interrupted to VT and La Masse. The food was excellent especially the veggie pasta dish my friend had.My steak ewas great. Service was exellent. Prices are average for a top level restaurant on the piste. I love the fact that it is SO secluded. You feel very special here. So well worth a visit for a special lunch in the sun.

Under new owners this restaurant is wonderful. Lovely decor and the staff speak wonderful English. They were very accommodating for my husband who is a coeliac and altered the duck dish for his requirement’s.

We had only come once to discover this restaurant, beautiful terrace in the sun offering a very beautiful view, slow service but it was good
