We have been going to Lou's for many years to celebrate birthdays with our families. Unfortunately, our experience this past Saturday was terrible. Our group of 11 was initially seated in the atrium, which we usually enjoy because it is spacious and allows for our four kids to have room to move around. However, we had to request to be moved inside this time. On one side, there was a group of heavy smokers and the plastic walls of the atrium were poorly sealed, leading to smoke coming into our area. We came in and there were only two other tables with folks sitting at them. We waited for about minutes to be greeted at the hostess stand. We were told by, what I think was, the busboy. He said to sit where ever. We told him we had an open table reservation. He said they don't know how to work the system. Once we sat, it took the waitress minutes to then come and take our drink order. We were now minutes from our reservation time and we were just placing our order. We had drink and ordered an appetizer. It was decent. But the waitress never came back to take our meal order. After we got the app, she then brought our check. After finally being seated, it took the waitress 12 minutes to come and take our drink order. By the time we placed our order, we were already 22 minutes past our reservation time. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, which turned out to be decent. However, the waitress never returned to take our meal order.
Instead, she brought us the check after 40 minutes of being in the restaurant. It was disappointing to not have had the chance to order a meal. Throughout our time there, we noticed that the waitress seemed more interested in watching a basketball game, as she sat down at an empty table multiple times to watch.

Came to this place to watch a World Cup game on a Sunday. They put us in a small room with 4 tables. No seats for us become the small area was full and they dedicated the main areas for the NFL. The small area they gave us became full with people standing because of this they moved the World Cup crowd to a separate room and they charged us 20% gratuity. Do not come here on a Sunday to watch a soccer match. This is an American Sports Bar.

It took awhile for anyone to even notice that we were standing at the front of the restaurant, waiting to be seated. We had made a reservation on Open Table, but we were never checked in. The food was okay, but not for me. I've been to Lou's for sporting events and for grabbing a late night beer, but I would not recommend it for brunch.
This is a good brunch with a good atmosphere! Their OpenTable computer doesn't work for those who made the reservation less than two days in advance, so don't bother making a last minute reservation. Other than that, my experience was perfect.
We came on Christmas Eve to watch NFL football. They’ve got all the games playing and directed us to a tv where we had audio. The staff and service was helpful and timely! Wings are wonderful too.
Great sports bar! Alway a go to for Sunday football. The food is decent and fair price for DC.
