My fiancé and I decided to try a new Dominican restaurant, but we were quite disappointed with the food. We ordered through Grubhub, and everything was delivered on time and hot. However, the whole rotisserie chicken was extremely dry and overcooked; we ended up giving it to our dogs. The mofongo was decent, but it came without any sauce. The white rice was hard and undercooked; honestly, my fiancé, who is from England, makes better rice. We also ordered sancocho, and the meat was again dry and difficult to eat. As someone who is Dominican, I can say that this was nowhere near authentic Dominican cuisine.
I ordered the Chicken Empanadas (Pollo) and the Cheese Empanadas (Queso), and they were fantastic—still hot and crispy when they arrived. The Res Guisada (Beef Stew) was served in a generous portion and was also delicious. The Sancocho (Spanish Soup) was packed with various meats and vegetables, and the broth was flavorful; it came with a side of white rice. The only downside was the Ceviche, which had tough meat, as if it had been left in the marinade for too long. I'm glad I only got the small size of that. Overall, the food was excellent!
I had the loveliest experience l! The food was great, but the service was even better. When my food was delivered, the sides were missing. I called the restaurant directly and they were SO KIND and eager to fix the situation. They gave me a few options, threw some extras in, and made certain I got my order. The food always great and the portions are really big. I will definitely be ordering here again.

Sancocho Spanish Soup had a huge piece of fat. taste like pepper and oil. The Sopa de Mariscos Seafood Soup was better but wish it was more broth than spaghetti. the Cheese Empanadas Queso was made with very little yellow cheese. Left me very satisfied and still hungry! unfortunately i wont be ordering again from this restaurant.
My husband and I have ordered from this restaurant several times. Recently, we tried the mangu with salami and fried cheese. The cheese was sliced so thin that it was almost transparent. Unfortunately, the mangu had a strong vinegar flavor, which was quite unpleasant. Overall, we were disappointed.
The pork chops tasted like fish, and I nearly gagged when I took a bite. The rice and beans were decent, but I was really disappointed with the Chuletas Fritas (fried pork chops). I'm usually a fan of the sancocho here, so I was taken aback by how bad the pork chops were.
I had my first experience at Lucas and the food was fantastic. The chicharrón was the best I've had in a long time. The rice and beans were also very flavorful. This will definitely be my new go-to spot! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
