Lucky Place is a hidden gem tucked away in a small plaza in Chinatown. Their menu offers delicious and authentic Chinese dishes with bold flavors and unique options you won’t usually find at more mainstream restaurants. While the service may feel a bit reserved to first-time visitors—reflecting a traditional Chinese approach—it adds to the genuine experience. The restaurant itself may not appear spotless or perfectly tidy, but it’s certainly not unpleasant. It’s a quiet spot with excellent food; prices are on the higher side, around $30–40 per person for dinner, but well worth it in my opinion. Definitely worth a visit! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The interior and dining sets are a bit outdated, but the Cantonese food here is excellent and authentic. We tried sweet and sour pork with pineapples, beef brisket noodles, the "3 treasures" (tofu, eggplant, and pepper) stuffed with shrimp paste, and scallion chicken—all fresh and flavorful. The staff can be loud and hurried, similar to dining in Hong Kong, but they are actually efficient and friendly. If you’re after genuine Cantonese cuisine, this is the spot.
