The best chip shop and Chinese food around this area bar none! I’ve been coming to this chip shop for over 10 years and the customer service of Jackie and the team is brilliant. On top of that, the food is excellent, never had bad food from them once. Chip are freshly made and the fish is lovely and crispy. The Chinese food is excellent with whole pieces of chicken and none of the reformed stuff you get with other places. Also it’s all so reasonably priced. We eat here around once a week and usually treat ourselves to food from here on a Saturday evening. My only gripe is that they sometimes have to close to go on holidays. Chips was undercooked. Paid £6.50 for cheesy chips and hardly got any cheese. Our order came to £45 with a mixture of Chinese and chip shop food and I asked for prawn crackers the lady on till pointed to how much we spent to her colleague and she said we have to pay £2.40 for prawn crackers. It’s little things like that that keeps customers coming costs them roughly 10p a bag for prawn crackers and can’t even give them out for free. Disappointed
Kingfisher is the best take-out option by a long shot! Whenever we have visitors and order from Kingfisher, they always rave about the food, highlighting just how delicious it is. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Just a heads up, they only accept cash payments, so be sure to have cash on hand when picking up your order.
Absolutely the best takeaway in Codnor! I love the Malaysian chicken (17a) and my partner isn't keen on many dishes but they always make his special kebab to suit (XXL meat kebab) with their perfect chips! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Lovely people and a great Chinese takeaway. Been visiting for literally decades and have never unhappy. The fish and chips is excellent, but the Chinese food is the best around.
Really disappointed…. Asked for a mixed kebab, with sauce and salad. And a portion of cheesey chips. This cost nearly £10… Won’t be back.
