One surprising aspect of Luke's was that our order was ready before we even sat down. Although it wasn't very busy, I must commend their surprisingly quick service. The Chicago dog was fantastic! I also ordered the beef sandwich with mozzarella and sweet peppers. If you choose the beef sandwich, you absolutely have to get the cheese sauce on the side; I only realized that halfway through my sandwich. A heads up: the beef made the bread soggy quite quickly. If you’re not a fan of soggy bread, you might want to steer clear of that sandwich. It didn’t bother me too much, though, and I really enjoyed it!
I've always had great experiences at this restaurant. Their Italian Beef is exceptional—it's huge, juicy, and perfectly dipped. The prices are reasonable, and the service is consistently fast and efficient. Their Chicago Dog is quite good as well, and the fries are usually crispy and served hot. The chili is amazing; it's surprisingly creamy, but it works, and it has enough chunks to feel like a real chili. The decor has a very vintage vibe, definitely capturing the essence of old Chicago. Personally, I love it, but I can see why some might not. Overall, Luke's really hits the spot!
Luke's Italian Beef is a charming and laid-back spot that offers incredibly delicious food. Make sure to arrive with an appetite; the famous Italian beef sandwich I had is quite hearty. It’s so tasty that you won’t want to leave a single bite on your plate. The staff were friendly and provided excellent recommendations. It's the ideal place to grab a bite after visiting the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower, especially for tourists. Be sure not to miss this gem!
After visiting the Skydeck in the nearby Willis Tower (formerly known as Sears Tower), my girlfriend and I were feeling hungry, so we decided to stop by Luke's. We both ordered a Chicago-style hot dog, and I have to say, it was outstanding. If you're visiting Chicago and find yourself in the Loop, this is definitely a local treat you won't want to miss. Ordered online through Grubhub. I went for the classic Italian Beef Sandwich. It was well packed and the food was warm. The meat was moist. I went for basic and didn’t add anything to my sandwich. They charge you for every topping you want in your sandwich. They have other options as well on their menu to try out from.
I had never tried an Italian beef sandwich before, and I hope all my future experiences live up to this one. I ordered it dipped and added sweet peppers, and it was fantastic! Make sure to grab as many napkins as you need. The fries were solid too. Overall, I’d rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5.

Place was unbelievably solid and the chicago style dog was also fantastic. The decor really does it for me and I only wish the chairs werent so wobbly as i felt they were going to break at any point.
