I visited The Golden Ball with my friends on a sunny Saturday for lunch and we had a marvelous time. We sat outside in one of the tables in the garden. The service was friendly and attentive. Now the indisputable standout was the food, truly superb and way above the standards of a pub. You will feel like eating in a fine restaurant while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside. Each dish was exquisitely presented and full of flavour. Even the bread and butter were homemade by the chef. I can't recommend the experience enough
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff for a wonderful lunch yesterday in celebration of my mother’s 90th birthday. With a party of 25, they did an exceptional job. The food was delicious, and the standout dish was the amazing skyberry soufflé! All the staff were exceptionally nice and friendly. We’ve visited many times and have never been disappointed. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!
I visited the pub on a Sunday and was glad I made a reservation, as they were fully booked! The food was exceptional and truly impressive. It's a 45-minute drive for me, and I'm definitely planning to return soon! The paneer starter was incredible, the peach tarte tatin was fantastic, and everything else I tried was outstanding. Nice pub but really disappointed that they could not do any food. All pre booked tables so not a good pit stop for hikers.
