The WORST service I 've ever had in my entire life. Two different servers waited on us at some point, with no hand-off between them or communication about what we had or hadn 't yet ordered. One server brought us a warm bottle of white wine and proceeded to pour us each half a glass, before taking the bottle and hiding it to chill away from our table for 15 minutes after I choked on the warm taster. We almost had to go hunt her down to get our wine after that because we were completely ignored. For a bottle of wine priced at three and a half times what I 'd pay for it in a grocery store, I 'd at least expect it to be cold. Then the food...the bacon on the bacon and deviled eggs was straight...
Not sure how the reviews on MacArthur 's Riverview Restaurant are so Good. My husband and I experienced different. We found the food marginal, Mac Donald 's down the street would have been 10X better. 'YUCK! ' We ordered our food from a young blond waitress, whom took a very long while to take our order. As a matter of fact, if I hadn 't asked her, 'can you take our order? ' She would have even stopped to do so, imaginable. When our burgers arrived at the table after what seemed like 45 minutes, my burger was completely wrong. Having asked for a Medium burger, with a little blood, what came was rare meat. The restaurant offered a lovely atmosphere with an impressive interior and high ceilings. We enjoyed most of what we ordered, taking the waitress's recommendations for the best dishes on the menu. The sea scallops were cooked to perfection, although they were a bit saltier than I prefer. The Cedar River strip steak was also very flavorful, but again, a touch too salty for my taste. The truffle mac and cheese had a nice truffle flavor, but I wasn't particularly fond of the cheese sauce that accompanied it, so I probably wouldn't order that side dish again. We were the first guests to arrive this evening, but the young lady at the front desk greeted us with a bit of an attitude. As we placed our order, more guests started to arrive, but there was only one server available, with the hostess stepping in to help after some tables nearby began to complain. Our waitress took our order but never returned to check on us. The hostess eventually brought out our food, but the ginger ale was flat, and our meals were cold. Sunday brunch is not nearly as elaborate as it was pre-Covid. Atmosphere was lovely and nice touch with the piano playing. Champagne was very slow and we had to ask 3x. Tea was Lipton (lame). Penne vodka was tasteless. Waffles with bananas foster was excellent but employee behind the counter was clearly unhappy to be there, rolled her eyes and would not serve ???? Servers at the one omelette and carving station were super friendly an wonderful ????
I thought the food was fresh and good however, there were not a lot of gluten free items to counter the regular pasta and waffles you had. The carving station only offered a pork tenderloin when you would think there would be a prime rib roast. Enjoyed the unlimited mimosas and **** Maryâs. Nice touch.
If you are just coming to eat at the restaurant they'll treaty you like trash. I came by today, they wouldnt let me park. A 17 year old attendant sent me to park outside someplace, I dont even know where. I had to cancel my lunch reservation.

Great service by our waiter, Sandy. She had great suggestions about menu choices, drinks, and desserts. Very competent and friendly.
